leaving a literary legacy: maurice sendak
this week award-winning children’s book author maurice sendak passed away, leaving behind quite the legacy. best known for where the wild things are, sendak made a career out of writing and illustrating children’s stories with dark undertones and often haunting characters that captured the hearts of millions. we hold a big soft spot for mr. sendak and are proud to carry his books. we look forward to many more generations enjoying his work.
uncle goose language blocks
some of our favorite gifts to suggest are these language blocks from uncle goose. so often people give them to little ones of friends that speak another language or have a language that is meaningful to them (they spent a summer in france, they grew up in italy). they make such wonderful heirloom treasures to pass down from generation to generation. the blocks are handmade in the usa and we happen to think the classic upper and lowercase make a perfect gift for any child.

the mamaroo is one of the must-have gear items for new parents. its been described as “having an extra pair of hands.” the rocker moves the way that we do, making lulling a baby to sleep that much easier. 4moms has recently made the incredible mamaroo even more efficient with faster rocking, cozier inserts, a more user-friendly interface, and they’ve created more prints.
